Creating new Data page on searching for value

SA-38878

Summary

User has configured a repeat grid by enabling the pagination.

The source of repeat grid is given as Data page and the pagination is set to a fixed number.

In the resultant grid when the second page is selected or any other page is selected a new non parameterized data page is getting created.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1.Create repeat grid with source as Data page and the data page should be parameterized.
2.Enable pagination.
3.Select the second page.
4.Check the clipboard and it can be observed that a new non parametrized data page is getting created.

Root Cause

The second data page is getting loaded without any parameters.

This is because in the section ABC, pass current parameter page was checked which is invalid as the parameters do not get maintained in the stack forever.

So user must explicitly pass the parameter to the data page when grid source is data page.

For non parameterized Data pages it is not needed.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change steps:

1. Source the grid with Report Definition

2. Set the value for the parameter explicitly as shown in the below screen shot:

Note: Also support for data page pagination is currently not there in Pega 7.1.7, so it is advised not to use data page in repeating grid.
