Cryptic error when validating program

SA-13302

Summary

User are getting the cryptic error when performing actions like submitting Program for Validation, Distribution Test, or Program Test.

Error Messages

"Please submit the Program for execution or re-configure the Program: " is too long, maximum length allowed is 64.

Steps to Reproduce

Submit the Program for the Validation, Distribution Test, or Program Test.

Root Cause

This error typically occurs when there is an unhandled failure in a flow (such as Program Lifecycle).
When a failure occurs in an assignment, the system creates a "problem flow" for the system administrator to handle the failure. In such cases, it uses the instruction message on the failed assignment as the label for the flow action. If the instruction is longer than 64 characters, the problem reported is observed.

Resolution

Shorten the field value instructions to less than 64 characters.
