Custom filter value populated during runtime

Summary



Default filter values are not applied to the initial run of a report. However, the vales are applied after clicking the Apply Filters button.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open any report which has a default filter criteria set. 
  2. On launch, the report does not consider the filter condition and fetches the entire data.  
  3. Click the Apply Filters button explicitly. 


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

The page used for a custom filter section is not sanitized between report runs. If a report is closed and rerun in a new window, the prior filter values are preserved from the earlier run instead of the reinitialized values.


Resolution

  1. Apply HFix-47594.
  2. In pzCreateCustomFilterPage, remove the When condition on Step 2 to create the filter page unconditionally. 
  3. In runReport, the When condition in Step 33 (to invoke displayReport) for the When condition in Step 22 to call pzCreateCustomFilterPage. This recreates the filter page on each initial run but not when an existing popup is refreshed.
