Data is truncated when printing pages

SA-74084

Summary

The section on the first page does not fit on an A4 sized page. As a result, data is truncated when printing the pages.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add a section with large data.
  2. Print the screen.

Root Cause

The window.print function was  used to print a document directly from the browser.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

When printing an HTML page using window.print, the browser decides how the content of the page will be printed. If the content of the HTML page is larger than the Print page size (for example, A4), the browser splits the content to the next page.

This is an expected behavior of the browser.

Print any web page with large content size using the browser's Print function. The browser splits the content to the next page. For example, try printing the Google Search results page which contains large data.
