DatabaseException: trying to run BIX extract from command line

Summary



User is unable to start the BIX extraction through the command line.
 

Error Messages



com.pega.pegarules.pub.database.DatabaseException: Database-General Problem retrieving database information for database pegarules -725 42721 DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-725, SQLSTATE=42721, SQLERRMC=CURRENT SCHEMA(*PRIOR FAILURE*);ADC1DB2T, DRIVER=4.8.86


Steps to Reproduce



Set up for command line BIX extract according to manual.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. The database connection was not in the correct format in configuration files.

Resolution



Make the following change to the operating environment:

​Update the prbootstrap.properties and prconfig.xml file to define the database connection URL and default schema as documented in the BIX User's Guide.

For a DB2 database, the connection URL should look like the following:

jdbc:db2://hostname:port/database:fullyMaterializeLobData=true;fullyMaterializeInputStreams=true;progressiveStreaming=2;useJDBC4ColumnNameAndLabelSemantics=2;
