Downloaded EForm PDF does not populate in Adobe Acrobat Reader

Summary



On implementing a PDF using an EForm file, the values do not display when the PDF document is opened in the Adobe Acrobat Reader or the Internet Explorer browser.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a case.
  2. Execute a custom activity on the work object context which invokes the GenerateEFormConcatenateEForms_Workaround, and a Java step to set the byte array to PDFDocument.
  3. View the downloaded PDF document in the Adobe Reader or the Internet Explorer.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
'Perform Field Flattening' was not enabled in the ConcatenateEForms_Workaround activity call.



Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Enable the PerformFieldFlattening checkbox in the Call ConcatenateEForms_Workaround step.
