Drill-down in Report changes totals in report summary columns

Summary
Drill-down in Summary Report changes totals in report summary columns, that is, when user runs the report, suppose total number of results displayed are having 39 as count, but when clicked on any assignment of the report, it is displaying the drill down report data.
On click of back button available on the drill-down report, the total count is getting changed to 35 from 39.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Create a Summary VIew with drill-down.
2. Run the summary view and check the results.
3. Now, click on any of the result for drill-down.
4. Click the back button in drill down and check the results.
Root Cause
An issue in the custom application code or rules.
In criteria section of the summary view for one of the field user has mentioned the condition as Does Not Start With and provided a value to the field.
Resolution
Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:
While running the summary view, in the criteria link user was removing the value for the field and clicking the submit button.
Now, all the results are being displayed, as the value for the filed with condition Does Not Start With has been removed.
But, in the drill down report after clicking on the back button and going back to main report, result count is being changed.
This is due to the value mentioned for one of the field in the summary view.
As the condition for the field is Does Not Start With, while moving back to the main report it is displaying the results that doesn't start with the value.
After removing the value for the field in summary view issue gets resolved.
