DSM services - ADM and VBD not working with HTTPS

SA-9413

Summary

If the Pega7 instance is accessed via HTTPS and the DSM applications (ADM & VBD) are installed on the same tomcat configurations, the DSM services landing page does not provide the ability to say if the services are accessible via HTTPS. Consequently, when setting up the landing page for ADM and VBD, cannot get the services to respond to pings because they’re defaulting to HTTP communication.

Error Messages

org.springframework.remoting.RemoteAccessException: Could not access HTTP invoker remote service at [https://servername:9080/vbd/remoteCarbonService/vbdService]; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: Connection factory has been shut down.

Steps to Reproduce

Setup ADM and VBD to use HTTPS
Use ADM or perform Ping from Services landing page

Root Cause

This is a new feature to Support DSM on HTTPS protocol.

Resolution

Hfix-21726 enables DSM Services in Pega7.1.7 to use HTTPS protocol.
