Duplicate Primary Keys data entry in database table

Summary



Duplicate Primary Keys data entry displays in the database table. Instead of updating the existing row, a new row is inserted.

Steps to Reproduce



Run the flow that updates and saves an existing work item.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
The table does not have a primary key. The Save method used is Insert or Update which relies on the presence of a primary key on the table.



Resolution



Make the following change to the operating environment: 
  1. Remove duplicate rows to only retain the current version of each work object.
  2. Add the missing primary key to the table.
