Edit in Excel option did not work

Summary
The application was used with Internet Explorer 11 and MS Excel 2013. Edit in Excel does not work.
Error Messages
"Data is currently open in Excel. Do not edit this form until Excel is closed or you may lose your changes."
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Data table: Navigate to Designer Studio > Data model > Data table > Data table
- Click Edit in Excel option.
Root Cause
A compatibility issue in Pegasystems’ code or rules. Pega 7.1.6 does not support Excel 2013.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in Pega 7.1.7.
