Empty Assignment key pop up when trying to open assignment

Summary
A button in modal dialog, “OpenAssignmentAndCloseModal”, is configured to open an assignment and close this modal dialog.
If user clicks on this button alone it works perfectly.
However when user clicks this button and immediately click ‘X’ to close modal dialog, user gets the alert “Empty Assignment Key” and subsequently assignment is not opened.

Steps to Reproduce
Configure a button in modal dialog to :
a. Open an assignment
b. Close the modal. However after clicking this button immediately click on default close'X' on modal dialog and see the issue.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules
Resolution
Applying below local change (to show a busy indicator on modal dialog on clicking ‘Copy Quote’ button, this would prevent users from hitting the cross (X) on modal dialog as all of modal dialog is masked by busy indicator) has resolved the behaviour reported here.
