Enter Key functionality does not work

Summary



The scenario has a Composite Portal and a custom Harness on a CPM framework.The harness has two fields and a Submit button. The user wants to submit the form on the press of Enter Key.In other words, Enter Key should serve the functionality of Submit button. However, this is achievable in Fixed portal in Pega 6.x versions but not in Composite Portal in Pega 7.1.7

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a Composite Portal. 



2. Create a custom harness. 



3. The harness contains two fields and a Submit Button. 

4. Add Portal to the Access Group. 

5. Launch the portal.


Root Cause



The expected functionality was considered as a bug in previous versions of the product and it is been fixed in Pega 7and hence the behaviour. However, a local change exists to achieve the desired behavior. 

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Add an action set with Event as "Enter Key" and Action as "Finish Assignment" on each Dynamic Layout of each form.
