Error after upgrading JDK version to 1.7

Summary



User gets an error while accessing application, after upgrading JDK to 1.7.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade the JDK.
  2. Deploy EAR.
  3. Access the application.


Root Cause



When Java was upgraded from JDK1.6 to 1.7. In IBM WebSphere, byte code verification has malfunctioned and threw the error.

Resolution



Installing the SDK 1.7.0 SR6 FP1 version will solve the issue.
