com.pega.pegarules.priv.mobile.build.BuildServerClientException: Error during connection to Build Server
[...]
Caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: mobilebuildserver.pega.com
[...]

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Click 'Build' button on Mobile Application Screen.
  2. Ensure to correctly set up the Dynamic System Setting "pega/mobilebuild/baseurl" to point to "https://mobilebuildserver.pega.com/buildserver".
  3. Confirm to have a working username and token set up in the MobileBuildServerAuthentication ('Authentication Profile' Rule).

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment:

The PRPC host had a Firewall rule preventing outgoing connection on port 443 (SSL): hence the PRPC system was unable to connect the Mobile Build Server.

Resolution

Make the following change to the operating environment:

Open up port 443; to allow the PRPC Host (JVM) to make outgoing SSL connections to the Pega Mobile Build Server.
