Error on navigating to View External Data Entries landing page

Summary



A Component stack mismatch error occurs on navigating to View External Data Entities landing page. This occurs post upgrading Pega 7.1.9 to Pega 8.3


Error Messages

"Section 'pzExternalDataAssets' execution error on page 'pyLanding' of class 'Rule-Application'.:Component stack mismatch {"NTID":"6432854379407590","NTRef":"f911b422ddf2dc4f11d198a2113c76e125f07bf5_3","pyName":"pxNonTemplate"}|||||===={"liveUI":" data-ui-meta'\"{'type':'Container'}\"","containerType":"NONE","isClientWhen":false,"pyName":"pxHarnessContainer","pyTemplates":[{"pxReferencedId":"1ad65472547ec875b2f294761313b563679b6414_3","pyName":"pxSection"}]}


Steps to Reproduce

Navigate to Dev Studio > Configure > Data modal > View External Data Entities.


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules. Connect-SQL as the data source is deprecated for the new data pages. The view of the External landing page does not support displaying the Connect-SQL external connections. 

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
Replace Connect SQL as the data source, with a report definition.
