Fast clicking between UI controls causes buttons to stop working

Summary



If an operator clicks multiple time and opens and closes settings dialogs too quickly (in this case Dynamic Layout properties) they can become stuck on screen i.e. the Submit and Cancel buttons and X icon does not respond.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Click the cog icon top open the Dynamic Select properties for layout 1
  2. Click to open the properties for layout 1.1 before the first dialog has opened.
  3. When the properties dialog appears close it using the X icon. The dialog for the second click (1.1) appears on screen, but the buttons and icon are not responsive. The dropdown menus in the dialog do work. The only solution is to close the rule via the X on the rule form tab and reopen (losing any unsaved work).
This is most likely to occur on high latency networks where the dialog does not appear imediatly after the first click.

This issue was determined to be a product enhancement request.

Resolution



An enhancement request, FDBK-16961, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
