Summary

Out-of-the-box file attachment modal dialog hangs on submit, if there are primary page errors present.

Steps to Reproduce

 

1. Cause a server side validation error
2. Ignore the error, and attempt to add a file attachment
3. Submit the modal dialog for the file attachment
4. Screen hangs with a busy indicator
    

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. In pega_yui_connection.js, the function call to removeChild is throwing a JS error.

Resolution

Apply HFix-24713, which creates a new function removeNode to successfully remove the child.
