Summary

User is on PUI 7.14 and is using the standard Pega pzPostActions section on the dashboard, which uses this file path control where uploading does not allow upload of a file.

Error Messages

** File <Name> does not Exist.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Harness with Screen Layouts.
2. Use pzPostActions section as one of the sections.
3. Launch the Portal, and click File tab.
4. Try uploading file using Browse button.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: User has used "Screen Layouts" in harness. If the harness is using "Screen layouts," then it does not have "<form"> tag to submit the action. Hence, the file upload feature is not working. Screen layouts are meant for designing the portal and preferred to use displayable content.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
Use Container layout in the harness. To get the same look and feel of portal, use column layouts (Two-Column - Main Sidebar) instead of screen layouts.
