Function name always ends with --

SA-46247

Summary

The function name ends with '--' on creating a new function. However, the Create ruleform does not include these symbols.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Create a new function in Pega 7.2.2.

Root Cause

This behavior is as per Pega product design.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior: Adding '—' to the Rule-Utility-Function (RUF) is the legacy behavior for overloaded functions. This was made consistent in Pega 7.1.8 to include '--' for all the functions created (even those functions which do not have parameters).
