Generated PDF is not loaded

Summary



Generated PDF does not display after post upgrading Pega Platform 7.3.1 to Pega Platform 8.3.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure the application to store case attachments in the repository.
  2. Use HtmlToPDF activity to generate the PDF.
  3. Use the DisplayAttachFile activity to download the generated PDF.


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules.
The DisplayAttachFile activity did not handle the scenario to store files using external storage.


Resolution



As a local-change, use the GetAttachmentReference activity to store files using external storage is used for files.
