Grid errors causes improper alignment

Field level errors causing improper grid row alignment with Pega 7.1.9.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a grid with multiple columns.
  2. Add a validate rule to display errors at field level whenever validation is fired.
    If any cell has errors error text is displayed, as a result grid row alignment is going off as shown below:

Root Cause



A software use or operation error.

User is making grid fixed size and showing fields errors above the fields, the column moves down this is expected in fixed configuration.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

User is suggested to display the error messages with triangle icon on the tool tip, this would not affect current design alignment and will display complete messages on hover.

For this below changes need to be done, as depicted in the screen shot:
