How can the PRPC log files be rolled over?

SA-356

Summary

How can the PRPC log files be configured to roll over?

Resolution

Explained how to extract and modify the prlogging.xml file and to replace the com.pega.pegarules.priv.util.FileAppenderPega for both the PegaRULES log and PegaRULES-ALERTS log with either the com.pega.apache.log4j.DailyRollingFileAppender so that the log files would be rotated every day or com.pega.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender so that log files would be rotated when they reached a certain size.

See Chapter 8 of PRPC Administration and Security (https://pdn.pega.com/documents/prpc-53-administration-and-security) for full details.
