Http 400 error on Modify Schema page with URL encryption

SA-84140

Summary

On modifying the Dynamic System Settings (DSS) (as below), Pega Designer Studio functionality fails with an error while accessing the Modify Schema tab page.

prconfig/initialization/urlencryption/default - true
prconfig/initialization/submitobfuscatedurl/default - required

Error Messages

Error on Tomcat: HTTPステータス 400 - Invalid URL used in request

type ステータスレポート

メッセージ Invalid URL used in request

説明 The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect.

Undisclosed

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Modify the DSS as below:

    prconfig/initialization/urlencryption/default - true
    prconfig/initialization/submitobfuscatedurl/default - required

  2. Restart the Pega application to apply the modified DSS.
  3. Navigate to Configure > System > Database > Modify Schema.
  4. Open the Modify Schema landing page

Root Cause

URL obfuscation is not supported on Pega Designer Studio (the Developer Portal). This obfuscation setting does not cause any issue in the User or Manager portal and is recommended only for Production or UAT environments.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Set the prconfig/initialization/submitobfuscatedurl/default DSS to 'optional' instead of 'required'.
