Icons Hide Privilege appends a dash instead of an icon space.

Summary



Privilege Hide option is not working as expected when applied to  icons.  Instead of being hidden a dash icon is rendered.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a section with Icon.
  2. Use privilege on it.
  3. Use Hide if the privilege is not met.


Root Cause


  This is working as expected.  In the case of an icon where there is a privilege, if the user does not have this privilege then in it’s place we render this double dash icon.


Resolution



This can be changed in the skin rule via the following setting (as shown in the screen shot below):

Text Inputs & formatted texts - <any format- standard in this case most probably> - Scroll down to see Read-Only text option - uncheck Display default placeholder when empty.
