In IE 11 64-bit instance, PRPC v6.3 is not loading

Summary



When a PRPC window is launched from IE 11 64-bit browser, it automatically becomes a 32-bit process and in task manager 32-bit thread's memory is getting increased.

Steps to Reproduce



1. In IE11, open the 64-bit instance, launch PRPC URL.
2. Open Task Manager, process tab
3. check the memory usage and process thread (XXX *32 - for pega windows)


Resolution



The explanation for this behavior is as follows: As per the PSG guide, https://pdn.pega.com/documents/platform-support-guide , the 64 bit version of IE is not supported.
