IllegalArgumentException: Illegal pattern character 'Y'

SA-8719

Summary

You notice that when running the Sample Database application and rendering the Composite 360 view, you get errors in the log file.

Error Messages

2015-04-13 12:01:42,621 [http-apr-7170-exec-3] [TABTHREAD1] [ ] [ MyCoCA:07.13] ( pub.util.PRDateFormat) ERROR wlius1w7|10.2.45.114 CASysAdmin - Cannot create format "MMM YYYY", default format is used java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Illegal pattern character 'Y' at java.text.SimpleDateFormat.compile(SimpleDateFormat.java:768)

Steps to Reproduce

This error occurs in the MyCoCA application when displaying CPM composite screen. Open or create a case. The "Statements" section of the Composite 360 renders with the section CPMStatements, and this section has an error in the date format parameter.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. The Statements section of the Composite 360 renders with the section CPMStatements, and this section has an error in the date format parameter.

Resolution

No change is required to correctly render the data as the default format is used.  If you wish to use this section but do not wish to generate the log error, create a custom version of CPMStatements and change the format to the correct format.

This will be fixed in a future release/fixpack of CPM.
