Issue during upgrade of CPMHC7.6 SP1 to PCSHC7.1.3

SA-11357

Summary

After upgrading from CPMHC 7.6 to Pega Customer Service for Healthcare 7.1.3, you encounter errors while attempting to load the login screen.

Error Messages

No Such Rule-Application instance: CPM 07.12, depended on by PegaHC_CPMHC 07.06

Steps to Reproduce

Import the Pega Customer Service for Health Care 7.1.3 application bundle and restart the system to observe the error.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is software use/operation error.  The BROWSER requestor type is configured to use an access group that pointed to PegaHC_CPMHC 07.06 for unauthenticated BROWSER type requestors, which referenced a "Built On" application that did not exist in the system.

Resolution

The access group for unauthenticated BROWSER type requestors must always point to an application rule that exists and has parents that exist. To avoid this behavior when upgrading, update the access group that is used by unauthenticated BROWSER type requestors to ensure it points to an application rule that exists and has parents that exist.
