Issue enablig filtering in a column rendered with a section

Summary



User has a repeating grid layout. One of the cells is rendered using a section.
User requires to sort and filter using this column, and configure the "Sort/filter property".
Sort works properly, however when user enables the filtering, user is not able to save the section containing the repeating grid.



Error Messages



This record has 1 ERRORE in 1 place
Cells in a Row:
* "Stato" is not a valid property

Where stato is variable and is the name of the section used to render the column.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a section to render an information.
  2. Create a section containing a repeating grid; use the first section to render a column.
  3. Enable sorting for that column. Configure the "Sort/filter property".
  4. Enable filtering choosing for the "Filtering" drop box an option different from "None".
  5. Save the section: an error occurs.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems.  See related SA-8689.

Resolution



This issue is scheduled to be resolved in Pega 7.1.8. 

As the root cause was this: “This issue occurs if the name of the embedded section is same as the name of any property used for other columns in repeat grid

 

The embedded section was renamed to avoid clashes with property names, and now it works as required.
