Listener AdobeFileGameServices does not start

SA-47626

Summary

Unable to start one FILE LISTENERs; other FILE LISTENERs (with very similar configuration) start without issue.
The Listener status changes to 'DISABLED' instead of 'STARTED' and an error occurs.

Error Messages

Listener 'Data-Admin-Connect-FileListener:MyFileListener.(com.pega.pegarules.integration.engine.internal.services.file.FileListener)/0' failed to start because of the following error:
Failed to launch listener, com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRException: Failed to start listener: File.MyFileListener From: (BFB984848F0592AF139D339C71CB27A70:(MBean Access))

Steps to Reproduce

In System Management Application (SMA); select the FILE LISTENER from the drop-down and click 'Start' button.

Root Cause

A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.

The File Listener was configured with Authentication; and the Requestor login configuration (OPERATOR/PASSWORD) was configured with an incorrect password.

Resolution

Change to the correct password and restart the FILE LISTENER from SMA to resolve the issue.

An enhancement request (FDBK-23723) has been logged suggesting that a 'TEST LOGIN' button and/or an improved/clearer error message be generated instead.
