Summary

Manual refresh of web page creates a new tab in portal.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Case Manager Portal.
2. Move to Reports tab.
3. Click gear icon, and select Schedule.
4. Edit the recipient list.
5. Submit the scheduling dialog (parent screen is not refreshed).
6. Manually refresh the browser (F5). New tab is created, containing the report browser.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules:
In this case, pyKey of the opened document (reports schedule) is set to reports tab due to which on refreshing, the system is unable to find the old key corresponding to pyCMReports harness. Ideally, pyKey should not be updated for static tabs.

Resolution

Apply HFix-27499.
