MasterCard secure code fraud liability shift

Summary



The Reason Code Advisor (RCA) is returning a fraud reason code incorrectly. The transaction falls under the MasterCard Secure Code (UCAF) liability shift program so the RCA should have provided the standard information about no reason code being determined. However, the RCA is returning RC 4837, 4863 incorrectly.

Steps to Reproduce



In the Pega Case Manager portal, open a case. The reason code details show the below error:

4863 - Cardholder Does not Recognize-Potential Fraud


Root Cause



The RCA actually returned a fraud reason code but it should not have been in this case. The transaction falls under the MasterCard Secure Code (UCAF) liability shift program so the RCA should have provided the standard information about no reason code being determined.
 

Resolution



Apply HFix-26447.
