Steps to Reproduce

  1. Build an Android mobile application on Pega 7.3.
  2. Download and install the application on an Android 4.4.4 mobile device.


Root Cause



A third-party product issue.
  • Bug on Android 4.0-4.4 failed the SSL handshake to the server.
  • Regression was introduced by switching from okhttp2 to okhttp3 library in the Hybrid Client.

Resolution

  • Apply HFix-38814.
  • Rebuild mobile application only.
