NullPointerException when Extract rule is run

Summary



NullPointerException occurs and the extraction process stops when running the Business Intelligence Exchange (BIX) Extract rule.


Error Messages



Inskey of the corrupt Instance <pzInsKey>
Unable to process while reading the source Db <classname>: null
java.lang.NullPointerException


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a BIX Extract rule
  2. Add the filter conditions
  3. Run the Extract rule 


Root Cause

The BLOB column in the History table contained Null values.


Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Delete the invalid records.
