Number of database connections shows as zero on SMA

Summary
The System Management Application (SMA) shows that the number of database connection is 0. This cannot be correct.
Error Messages
None.
Steps to Reproduce
Check the SMA Advanced -> Database Management screen. Total number of managed connections is reported as zero.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. Pega 7.1.5 does not correctly track connections and always lists the number as 0.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in Maintenance Level (ML) release 7.1.6.
