PAL not working with certain locale settings

Summary



Java 7 has changed how locales are handled and the use of the two different NumberFormat classes within Pega in different places can lead to errors.

Error Messages



com.pega.pegarules.session.internal.mgmt.Executable ERROR  Exception
com.pega.pegarules.pub.clipboard.InvalidValueException: PropertyValueInvalid .pxInferGeneratedJavaHLElapsed .pegaToBigDecimal() Invalid number format (was 1,57)


Steps to Reproduce



Attempt to view detailed PAL statistics.

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. There are inconsistencies in the handling of certain localized time formats that create issues after upgrading to Java 7.

Resolution



This issue is resolved by HFix-21634.
