Passivation errors in Pega High Availability(HA) env

Summary



Users are experiencing slow performance and high memory usage. There are passivation error in the PegaRULES log file. This is a Pega 7 HA ( High Availability) env.
 

Error Messages



Caused by: 
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /HAShared/PassivationData/7/H28C9E4417C69A0238410A0E967D344D7/PORTAL%2F%24newThreadmnIvABCtvXYZpu/newModalPage.ser (No space left on device)
    at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:204)
    at java.io.FileOutputStream.<init>(FileOutputStream.java:155)
    at com.pega.pegarules.storage.fs.direct.FilesystemStorage._getOutputStream_privact(FilesystemStorage.java:240)
    at com.pega.pegarules.storage.fs.direct.FilesystemStorage.getOutputStream(FilesystemStorage.java:213)

Steps to Reproduce



Sporadic in nature.

Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment 

Resolution



Perform the following local-change: Increase the shared storage filesystem space for HA.
