Root Cause

After removing connectivity from the prlogging.xml to using the DSS settings, something occurred in the environment that stopped the monitored node from connecting to the PDC node.

Resolution

The issue was that the user is unable to see their monitored nodes in PDC and they were not receiving any of the messages and all the reports were blank.

This occurred after changing from using the prlogging.xml to connect to the PDC to using the update configuration from the Pega menus this option is meant to automatically connect to PDC and change the relevant DSS settings.

After enabling httpclient.wire debugging in the environment the logs show that HLTH0001 messages were being sent and messages look valid, but were not being processed by PDC.

Logging into the tenant and running a sample message in through the SOAP service unit test form the trace showed that the monitored nodes was marked as disabled.

It appears that all the instances of PegaAES-Data-Nodes for the user were marked "enabled=false" so the messages were not being processed.

After running the activity clusterEnableAllNodes for the user, the alerts started to come through and System Connectivity now shows that user is connected to PDC and PDC is processing the messages.
