Pega UVU: Date-qualified queries not behaving as expected

SA-8401

Summary

When you launch Pega Usage Validation Utility (UVU) through Unix script or a Windows batch command program to run a report, at first it generates and then executes two date-qualified queries.
But UVU does not return any results even though it has data in the tables.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

Execute the following command:
UsageValidation.sh ExportHourlyUsageData ExportDailyUsageData -Dproject.startdate 1/1/2014 -Dproject.enddate 12/31/2014

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is defect or misconfiguration in the operating environment.
The database synonyms to the pr_hourly_usage, pr_daily_usage, and pr_usage_summary tables are not linked to the tables in the correct schema which has the 2014 data.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by making the following change to the operating environment:

Database Administrator needs to correct synonyms to point to the correct tables and now the UVU tool works as expected.
