PKIX exception on testing connectivity of HTTP Service

Summary



User is getting "SSLHandshakeException" while testing the HTTP Connect service rule.

Error Messages



Caught Throwable: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target


Steps to Reproduce



Login to PRPC
Navigate to the HTTP Connect service rule
Click on 'Test Connectivity"


Root Cause



The keystore in the endpoint server does not have the certificate of the PRPC server where the HTTP Connect rule is.


Resolution



Importing the certificate of the PRPC server to the endpoint server's keystore
