Plus sign "+" in pyStatusLabel is shown as "+"

When Localized Label in pyStatusLabel includes "+" (Plus sign), Pega 7 shows it as "+" on browser.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Modify pyStatusLabel for a pyWorkStatus, that should include "+" in the "To" of Localized Label.
2. Set Work Status in an assignment properties to the pyWorkStatus.
3. Open a case and/or display work list.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ rules that the label which contains '+' gets encoded twice due to which it becomes ' +'. This gets resolved in UI as '&43#;'.

Apply HFix-23445 to resolve this issue. This issue has been verified and found to be fixed in Pega 7.1.9.
