Poor performance from sppr_sys_reservequeueitem_b stored proc

Summary



You are getting numerous PEGA0005 SQL execution time alerts from the Out-Of-The-Box stored procedure sppr_sys_reservequeueitem_b on PRPC 7.1.5.
Each call seems to be averaging around 2 seconds in performance test.

Root Cause



It has been determined that the sort clause in the sppr_sys_reservequeueitem_b stored procedure, which is required to process queue items in FIFO sequence, is the cause of the performance alert.

Resolution



This issue is scheduled to be resolved via related optimisations in PRPC 7.1.7
