Summary

We are facing an issue while installing the PEGA PRPC 6.3SP1 with IBM Websphere 8 and MS SQL 2012.
We have successfully deployed the prpc_j2ee14_ws.ear file but after that we are not able to access the development portal.

Error Messages

[02/12/14 18:30:35:185 SGT] 0000000d PRBootstrapDa E com.pega.pegarules.internal.bootstrap.PRBootstrapDataSource  Problem accessing bootstrap properties via URL "file:/null"
                                 java.io.FileNotFoundException: \null (The system cannot find the file specified.)
    at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Native Method)

Steps to Reproduce

Followed the Pega installation document.

Root Cause

Configuration was Incorrect in URL Provider setting of WAS.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by making the following change to the PRPC operating environment:

In URL Provider for the URL PRPC none the configuration was wrong.

Suggested below values.
– In the Name field, enter PRPCnone
– In the JNDI name field, enter url/pega/none
– In the Specification field, enter file:///nul for Windows
