PRPC Personal Edition installation fails

Error Messages



Error in the log:
ERROR:One or more errors occurred while committing the changes to the user
"db2admin". Create or make any changes to this user manually.

Steps to Reproduce



Install PRPC Personal Edition version 6.2 SP2

Root Cause



During installation of PRPC 6.2 SP2, DB2 Express is installed and the db2admin user is created. If the user who runs the installation does not have permission to create any user, the installation will fail.


Resolution



If the user who runs the installation is a domain account, which does not have permission to create any user, try to log in as the built-in administrator local system account to run the installation.
