pxRestartStage does not restart but transitions the case

Summary



Although pxRestartStage is used to restart the current stage, the case is transitioned to next stage.


ERROR MESSAGE

Steps to Reproduce

Launch the pyRestartStage action as a case wide local action or use pxRestartStage as a post action activity in any flow in a stage. It does not restart the stage instead it is transitioned to next stage.


Root Cause



In pxRestartStage API, pxStageHistory is not updating on pyWorkPage when you restart the stage and also when there are no steps in a stage at run time in Pega 7 Express and you add steps through case life cycle gadget.added step should reflect at run time and case should be restarted in this case.so in this case also pxStageHistory is not updated.

Resolution



Apply HFix-24706.

NOTE: HFix-24158 is prerequisite for this HFix.
