Reason Code 74 CC 1 pend chargebacks not correct

Summary



A customer installed HFix-26667 and wants disputes to go to pending stage if the transaction meets certain criteria. For RC 74 CC 1 the agent must be presented with option to pend chargebacks based on following:

All excluding Malaysia Domestic and Transactions acquired in Japan:
• For an ATM Transaction Between 5 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date
• For all other Non ATM Transactions Between 8 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date
Transactions acquired in Japan
• For an ATM Transaction Between 5 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date
• For all other Non ATM Transactions Between 30 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date
Malaysia Domestic
• For an ATM Transaction Between 5 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date
• For an Automated Fuel Dispenser Transaction(5542 Transaction Between 6 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date
• For all other Non (ATM&AFD) Transactions Between 8 and 120 calendar days from the transaction settlement date

Steps to Reproduce



Process a dispute through reason code 74, condition code 1 with the criteria described above.


Root Cause



The test transaction was more than 5 days old so the chargeback was not pending but could be delivered.  If the transaction was less than 5 days old, then it would have gone into the pending status until it reached 5 days old.

Resolution



A software use or operation error: The hotfix works correctly.
