Remote install has been running for 18 hours



A remote installation in an environment in London (running remotely from New York) was only 50% complete even after 18 hours from start.

Start installer

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem was the long distance and latency between the database and the installer.


The installation eventually completed, but every effort must be taken to minimize the distance between all systems involved in an installation.
