Report Definition formatting incorrect on export to Excel

Summary



Some data is not formatted as expected on the Report Definition (RD) when exported to Excel.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create RD with date, some text type properties and make sure text property contains number values
2. Check the 'ignore formatting' option on the Export to Excel.
3. Run the RD.


Root Cause



A software use or operation error.

When the ignore formatting option is selected, the report values are not formatted and export the stored values to the CSV file. Excel then applies its default formatting.

Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The system is working as designed. Developer can format properties for the report using functions.
