Report displays group by values of one column in another

Summary



After the updating from Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.1.9, the order of values displayed for the columns are altered in Reports Display. The values are aligned at center and it appears like the values of the first column are displayed in the next column. This issue occurred for all reports including out-of-the-box reports.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a report with two or more groups by conditons.
2. Run the report, and verify in the grid of Group by values.

Root Cause



A software use or operation error:
The problem appears to be due to users changing the styling of the "Default" format for grids, which is used in the report definition.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
Report definitions have an overrideable css file (pyReportEditorStyling) that CSS can be dropped in to by the user. Start with the following ​towards fixing the alignment:

div.TreeGrid div.default tr.cellCont td.gridCell {
text-align: initial;
}
