Request for 64-bit DP and SD for CDM 6.7.1

With the continuous addition of new components and functionality to the existing decision logic, the Strategy Management Markup Language (SMML) files grow in size considerably. Due to this, the deployment package (DPKG) in decision planner (DP) could not be generated, and the decision logic in strategy director (SD) could not be tested due to insufficient Java Heap Space. The logic was reviewed based on the general best practices but no considerable reduction in size could be achieved.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Add more components and functionality to the existing decision logic.
2. Generate DPKG from DP, or test the decision logic in SD.

Root Cause

The existing DP and SD installed are 32-bit applications. There is no scope of setting a Heap size beyond 1300 MB, which may vary across systems based on the memory used by other running applications and whether the OS can allocate a contiguous chunk of memory requested by –Xmx JVM parameter.
