RTE format not retaining when copied from word document.

Steps to Reproduce

Enter some bulliten text in word. Copy paste the same into RTE in pega UI gallery.

Root Cause

Pega 7 is using CK editor for RTE. This is a third party tool integrated into the product. The arrow bullets copied from Word text are being replaced as small circular dots .Example in this link: http://ckeditor.com/latest/samples/

MS word has specific formats which are applicable only to MS Word, those formats will be bundled along with MS word software.When we copy them to CKEditor, it will not understand those formats and will be ignored.

Resolution

Use alternate online text editor.
